1. If you contact the companies directly and explain that you are a person who deals in excess merchandise most will happily hang up the phone unless you have at least $20,000. Try brokers offering smaller lots. They deal directly with these companies and break up the lots for smaller sellers. Use Yahoo! and search for liquidators and salvage brokers. That should give you a good start. Also overtsock.com and biglots.com offer wholesale sections of their sites. Tip: Don't use "eBay supplier" in your search query. It creates a list of scamming companies.
